About
Dr. Sobel: Dave Sobel graduated from Tufts Veterinary School
after beginning his veterinary career at the University of Glasgow
in Scotland. He was residency trained in human endosurgery at
the New England Medical Center in Boston and was on the internal
medicine staff of the Dover Veterinary Hospital in Dover, New
Hampshire. He is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
of the UK, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Royal
Society of Medicine as well as the AVMA, the NHVMA, and Vermont
VMA.
In addition to providing on-site clinical services to small animal
practitioners in New Hampshire and Vermont, Dr. Sobel has been
consulting and lecturing world wide on the topics of endoscopy,
endosurgery, as well as laser surgery and laser endosurgery. He
has presented and lectured at the annual meeting of the ACVIM,
the Wild West Veterinary Conference, University of Florida, University
of Sydney Veterinary School, Australia, the Royal Veterinary College,
London, and the University of Bristol Veterinary School, England,
and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. He is also
a clinical consultant to several small animal practices here in
the US and in the UK as well as an advisor to several corporate
concerns involved in veterinary endoscopy. He has trained numerous
veterinary practices in small animal endoscopy and endosurgery
both here and abroad.
Our
Services: Dr. Sobel is pleased to provide on-site training
to veterinarians wishing to begin or advance their skills in all
areas of small animal endoscopy. The procedures that can be introduced
include flexible GI endoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, laparoscopy,
thoracoscopy, urethrocystoscopy, rhinosinusoscopy, arthroscopy,
as well as laser surgery and laser endosurgery. Training typically
consists of didactic as well as either clinical or wet lab training.
Syllabi are custom designed to meet the needs, interests, and
equipment of each practice and practitioner. Detailed written
lecture notes are provided, and on-going remote consultation services
made available to all members of the practice. Instruction in
setup, care, and maintenance of equipment is provided. No previous
experience is required in any particular area of endoscopy, but
all levels of skill can be accommodated.
